Raveena’s first ever show in Toronto at the Velvet Underground brought soulful 90’s inspired beats into the city. The New York based singer-songwriter hit the stage and the crowd went wild. As she took off her slippers at the beginning of the concert, she set the mood and showed that she was very comfortable with being there - one of the most magical parts of the show was seeing her transition the energy and mood of the room from one feeling to another. The crowd felt how she felt as she performed each part of every song, and it was almost like a psychedelic experience.
With every song, back stories really hit home with the audience. Sharing these experiences which were really close to her heart helped set the mood and give her performance much more meaning. She also incorporated part of her culture on the set, and even her parents were there to support her in her career, something that's rare in South Asian culture.
For those who enjoy self-love, R&B and 90’s beats, Raveena’s music will satisfy your thirst for excellently crafted music.
